We love pub 199! You cannot beat the prices here- especially for seafood. We always get clams and they are always sooo clean and never sandy. The lobster was fantastic. Steak was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we always come up here. Our server was fantastic. She was so sweet and quick to bring everything out.

My sister in law and I went here while waiting for my dog to be neutered down the block at preventative paws which also is amazing by the way. We ordered a picture of sangria from Adriana the most amazing bartender you could ever meet.. absolute personality and cocktail maker. Pub 199 is a fabulous location. We will definitely be back. Thanks to Adriana for being the best sangria is absolutely amazing. They have a fantastic outside patio with retractable walls that allows the guests to be in the fresh air We were the only two people out there, and they opened the walls for us, we were very impressed by. We didn't have any food but apparently they have the best seafood and we will definitely be back. The other patrons seemed extremely happy with their food and the service. There is a lot of taxidermy which is neat, but you have to be okay with that. We were.

I do not know to rate this place. It is unusual for sure. I will start with the positive- the crab legs are outstanding! Large, perfectly cooked and oh so delish! Baked potatoes cooked perfectly. Clams were good and also cooked perfectly. Prices are very reasonable. The place is huge so great place for big groups and parties. Nice round tables instead of rectangle which I love. Service was really good. The weird - I could do without eating in a room full of mounted animal heads. There is a one drink minimum which is bizarre. The negative - my son ordered the porterhouse. It was huge. Had absolutely NO flavor. He added salt and still so bland. Very odd and disappointing. Fries are battered which some love but we prefer standard fries. The place is cash only so be aware. Overall I will return for the crab legs for sure! My son the meat eater can stay home.

This place is just a huge value. Value, value, value! $57 for King Crab Legs, with 20 steamers. You can't even get that deal at Costco, and making it at home. I've had a number of things here, and never a bad meal. The service is good. Wait staff is very friendly. The ambiance is like that of hunting lodge. Lots of trophy animals and fish on the wall, and warm fire places. If you want a value, decent food, and like to eat by a warm fire, check it out! Just remember to pick up some cash first, as it's a cash only establishment.

Can't call yourself a true New Jerseyan if you have never been here. A bit of a drive for my fellow people from North Jersey but trust me the drive is worth it just make sure you bring cash. Clams, lobsters, steak...everything is tasty and I would recommend getting all 3 and sharing with your group. I am not sure why there are bad reviews since I went recently and had a good experience like I usually do. The only knock is that it is cash only...

tldr: down below I decided to make an updated review since this is my second time coming here After waking up from late night festivities hungover and hungry we decided to come back to Pub 199. The last time I was here was pre-covid. I was expecting change however, everything is top notch as always. Walking in around opening hours, noon, is such a treat. Mostly empty tables lined both dining areas as well as the outdoor seating. We sat in the 'safari' looking section this time. Last time I was here we were seated in the 'aquarium' side. So unless you don't mind game trophies staring at you, I'd suggest sitting in a different area. After the gracious host sat us, we were delighted by the most enchanted server, Jordan. Jordan made sure we had everything we needed. She explained the menu, made adjustments as needed and provided an excellent substitute for the baked potato. They say a great restaurant has to have these three key things; Food, Ambiance, Service. With Jordan as our server and the area we were sitting in, 2 of 3 aint so bad. Tired and hungry everything on the menu looked fantastic. Though, seafood is usually a priority in my life, they offer fare for different types of dishes. Porterhouse steaks, hamburgers, and chicken. Unsure of pork, I wasn't actively searching for it. Most of the items usually come with a baked potato, however you can sub that for anything else on the side order menu. We ordered the 2 dozen clams with King Crab Legs and the Snow Crab Legs. Subbed a baked potato for French fries and it was a great decision. The king crab was delicious, real thick and juicy. Sure, king crab legs are a little spiky but it only makes the reward inside so much better. The snow crabs on the other hand felt a little dry to the touch. Though still delicious, I won't let an isolated incident tarnish the rest of the foods we've eaten. Fries as a side was excellent. Crispy, crunchy, breaded? Im no expert but I'd get them again. The baked potato, was well a baked potato. But the clams? Oh baby, give me another order please! Clams were steamed to perfection. Paired nicely with the cocktail sauce and butter. Jordan, was kind enough to offer more lemons and Tabasco. Worth every bit. 2 dozen may seem like a lot, but next thing you know, you're searching the empty shells for anything. and that's 3 of 3 key things! This review is kind of long but if you made it this far your decision has already been made. Come and enjoy the taste of your desires and you won't regret it. A love letter to Pub 199 -Joseph M. tldr; Pros: A variety of menu items and sides Decor's sweet if you're a hunter/fisher Excellent customer service Cons: Still no refills on water cash only
